By the time the new season starts my Hitchin Town photographs will have achieved ten million views, I hope they’ve been instrumental in promoting the club and encouraging more people to visit Top Field.
I started taking photographs at the end of the 2011/12 season and have tried to attend as many matched as possible ever since. I’ve done very little to promote my own photography, something I started to relieve stress from work but resulting in heartache of a different nature.
I’ll be attending much fewer away games next season due to lack of coaches, poorer floodlighting (I imagine) and family reasons but I’ll be at Top Field matches whenever possible. It’d be great to work with a buddy if possible, perhaps someone who could show me where I’m going wrong.
My wife is determined to move away from the area in the next few years, once I retire, and it’d be great to see someone else’s photographs of Hitchin Town from afar, perhaps a slow handover could be arranged at an early date?
It costs me £80pa approx for £2m photographers public liability insurance, which also allows me to apply for a National League Licence. £60pa for my FLICKR account but someone cleverer than me will be aware of a better arrangement. It brings no income and you’ll need a camera with high ISO and 70-200mm lens minimum.

Re: Ten million thank yous - help needed
That's a tremendous body of work Peter and I've no doubt your photos have contributed to raising the profile of the club, adorning the fixture posters, appearing in the local press and on the club's social media.
It would be great if there were a a student or two at one of the local schools with an interest in photography who might be keen to get involved. We've seen with Freddie how getting involved at HTFC at a young age can be a launchpad to the future when it comes to university and almost certainly a career in a chosen field (my involvement started too late, so it's literally just working on the field!).
Here's hoping for some offers to get involved, but hoping we will be seeing you and Jackie around for a good while yet.

Excellent work Peter all that time.
Would be good if we could find someone to take regular video highlights for fans that can’t get to games at home and possibly away.

That happens at virtually every home game Steve. They are posted on X and then I was putting them on here up to Christmas.
Peter - Thank you for all your efforts. Really appreciate all the photos you have taken over the years.

From a website and social media point of view, it has made the job about a thousand times easier!
Amazing work as always!
