Few idea's as this is a problem for some years now...
Perhaps advertise outside the club? If the turnstiles and ticket office are paid positions? There must be a few parents who dont have much interest in the game happy to do a couple of hours a week? The only advertising ive seen has been aimed at those within the club and suspect there is untapped potential to recruit from outside. (This may have happened already but not to my thinking)
I work with learning disabilities and in quite a few situations ive worked with residents who are happy to volunteer for charity shops etc perhaps reach out to local care homes? More often than not money is not an issue with them as they simply want to work and help out and be made to feel useful citizens and part of a team. The ability counts team that worked with Del Barker a few years ago. I felt that worked well but suspect it's no more. They would also be supervised by a trained support worker or workers so they would not need supervision.
Without wanting to sound patronizing I do feel there is possibly a few areas that have not been explored (I stand corrected if im wrong on any of the couple of points ive made) Plenty of people would like to do a couple of hours + a week more where to look and reach out possibly.
The current team are brilliant with matchday media and commentaries while im living up north and matchday staff have been excellent for some years now under challenging demands.
