Thanks for the forum updates Peter.

Having missed the FA Cup matches because I was in Norfolk, today was the first game I had seen since Barton Rovers.

What's great is I can clearly see the improvement with every performance.

On a pitch that more resembled uncut park grass, we struggled early on to come to terms the conditions and state of the pitch.

Although the first 35 minutes was pretty even, Biggleswade took the lead with a wayward cross that flew over our keepers head and into the far corner. Absolutely nothing Bomber Jnr could have done, not sure dad could reached that.

With ten minutes to go to half time, we suddenly came to terms with the pitch and the required amount of pace to get the passes to reach their man.

The last ten minutes of the first half was one way traffic and we fully deserved our equaliser, a stunning serving shot from Josh Jackman that the keeper could only stand and admire.

Half time came at the wrong time but we need'nt have worried as early in the second half we got a very good second when the outstanding Kye Tearle crossed hard and low for Callum Kane to sweep the ball in at the far post.

Biggleswade huffed, puffed and tried to bully us but we were up to it and up for it.

We looked the more likely scoring again and it was nothing less than we deserved when Taylor Rhiney swept in a late third from another Kye Tearle pin point low cross.

Excellent stuff. The defence held firm against some long balls and physical forward play. Callum Nicholson knitted everything together in midfield. Lewis and Callum at wing backs had outstanding games but Kye Tearle was a revelation again. He's clearly enjoying his run in the team and opportunity to link the midfield and attack. With the wing backs getting forward to support Taylor up front it worked so well.

Sorry Mr Jones, that was a TEAM performance and long may it continue.

Second half was men against boys as they say.. and we were the men on this occasion. Didn't deserve to go behind but this side has a tremendous attitude and totally dominated. I really hope this current side stays together as i'm seeing progress every week

Kye in the No.10 position has been a revelation. But seriously, I am not surprised - it's where he started out his career as a 16 year old. Has played his best ever football for the team in the past 3/4 matches.

Another great team performance. Jersey Bulls away anyone??

Nice to see the results the past couple of weeks being what I believe they should be. Potters Bar was more unexpected but results having been what they have been the last couple of years it's great to see.

The U16 policy Chris mentioned (No admission without a paying adult the way I read it) That's crazy as they need to promote youngsters going and I went with friends from about aged 12 or 13.

Lots of comments on social media about the state of the pitch as well. From memory it's never been the best surface but today must have been bad as it's a common theme with posters.

If I were a cynic, I'd say they purposely didn't cut their grass in an attempt to stop us playing our normal passing game. It backfired.

For me, it was therefore great to see us being able to adapt to that to get the result we needed. Once the lads realised they needed to put a bit more weight on their passes, by the middle of the second half we had almost mastered it. A big learning curve - and we will encounter a good few more pitch challenges like yesterday during this season.

The dynamic of the team over the past four to five games has grown massively in positivity. Not just internally I am sure, but externally where supporters can see it.

Absolutely Chris.

After the Potters Bar first match I said on here:

"Rediscovering that warm glow after a good performance and win would be most welcome."

Well I walked out of the ground yesterday with that warm glow inside me and it wasn't anything to do with incontinence

So pleased for him.. its not always clicked for him and I seem to remember him being played in all sorts of positions as well as being left out a lot. His head has never dropped though and he clearly enjoys playing for the club.

Re draw - is it regionalised at all still?
