Are we going to struggle?

Post by Greenfinch »

Seems like we have not played the finished article in all our friendlies, still playing trialists at a late stage, when the team that is going play the first match on Saturday, should have bonded together for at least two games. Also Toby Syme is now banned for two games.Talking about playing four at the back, or three at the back, and even playing out from the back.We could easily lose our first two games,Hadley will run at our defence, and Biggleswade will be tough, they always are,and we haven't scored at home yet in open play.Hope I'm wrong but..........

A fact of the matter is that we have got to get back into a winning mentality as a Club, having spent two seasons of getting used to/resigned to ? mainly losing.

By the way, Toby's suspension was for one game, which he served last Saturday, so he is available for Saturday.

We all need to see some goals from open play at Top Field.
Behaviour breeds behaviour. And establishes a culture.

👍Hopefully you’ve started a trend Peter, it’s been a bit quiet of late, and as I don’t do (anti) social media it’s used to be my only interaction back in the good old days😊😁😁

Chris N and I were discussing the same thing.

Go back 15-20 years ago and the forum was vibrant with not only HTFC fans chatting but we had lots of visiting fans chat with us as well.

Unfortunately, the fast, throw away comments on other social media platforms have taken over.

It would be good if we could breath life into the forum again.

 Could not agree more Brian, be good to see it revived and the friendly banter return , always enjoyed the forum interactions between ourselves and as you say, often other clubs fans. Much happier times IMO (I think that’s the right abbreviation  )

I agree with Chis re the winning mentality, it’s a long season and I don’t think it will be defined in the first few games. Having said that momentum is going be particularly crucial for us this season so I think we all need reason to hope fairly early on!!!

I disagree about the forum. Only joking, it would be good to see lots of comments back on here.
As for this season I think it going to be if we can score goals, the all important one. Let's hope some of the new signings are good.

I hope we can get a couple of good wins under our belt to spark a bit of passion. It has felt so flat. Wish them luck and hope they can dig deep. I think this seasons teams will be gunning for us so we need to hit the road running.

We all need a lift.
