Having just read Pipeman's report of the Biggleswade game he ends it by saying it was more entertaining than Tuesday night's dour encounter with a dull Redditch team. Everyone has their own opinion & here's mine. I have to disagree with him here as I thoroughly enjoyed Tuesday's game. From the outset we took the game to Redditch, not allowing them to settle into any kind of rhythm. Several times we played the through ball inside their full backs which they failed to deal with. But for more clinical finishing we could have been 2 or 3 up. We played some great football, exploiting the spaces that Redditch gave us. After a tentative start to the 2nd half when Redditch finally caused us a few problems we created an excellent opening goal & from then on we, once again, took control of the game with more creative & attractive football. The sending off & a gloriously executed 2nd goal seemed to put the result beyond doubt. A late Redditch goal though gave us a nail biting final 5mins with some jittery defending.
The Biggleswade game was, indeed, end to end football with both teams finding it difficult to cope with the ball over the top, the difference being that we took 1 of our chances & they didn't. Yes Biggleswade gave their all but, for me, in the 1st half particularly, with the through ball aside, they only looked dangerous because of our "Dad's Army" defending. Everytime they launched the ball into our box panic set in with wild swipes at the ball & weak headers. Luckily Seb was there to save the day. We did sort it out in the 2nd half but, I'm afraid, the free flowing creative football from Tuesday was sadly missing, neither side showing too much in the way of quality.
So, for me, I enjoyed Tuesday's game far more than Saturday. Either way we won both & that's all that matters.

Re: Biggleswade/Redditch
I really enjoyed the Redditch game.
The atmosphere was great, especially when Harry Titchmarsh's opener went in.
Wasn't at the Biggleswade game and listened via the excellent HTFC Radio commentary but it sounded very disjointed especially in the first half.
Great to get back to back wins and we are giving ourselves a chance of staying up.
