First 25mins it was relentless attacking from Halesowen, but with some robust defending, luck and some poor finishing, we held firm.We then started to play some good passing football, settled down, and created three great opportunities to cross the ball from the left, all wasted, although one did hit the cross bar.Half time came and things looked promising for the second half.
What a contrast, I get the feeling that opposition managers work us out, change their game plan, and we just can't seem to cope or adapt.Their goals didn't come from good attacking moves, more like us losing possesion in our own half. What drives me nuts is playing out from the back, then giving it away or losing the ball when reaching midfield. When you're two nil down you haven't got time to waste playing around at the back, just play the long ball to Jake, at least he will get a 50/50 chance of something, he was just wasted with no service through much of the game.

Brilliant summing up of the game, and yes dont dilly dally, goalie just kick the ball out, stop rolling it out to a player, we need to get it at least halfway up the field, specially when losing,so really frustrating to watch.
But first half we played good football, keep your heads up lads …

I think that this result plus Barwell's win at Leiston, which now places us nine points from safety, has pretty well condemned us to relegation. Throughout most of this game we defended in depth without getting forward in any numbers. We lost the corner count about 10-1, wirh the one not coming until the 85th minute. Jake was left on his own for much of the match and rarely got a touch of the ball. Playing back is all very well when under pressure but I find it irritating when a player receives the ball in plenty of space and plays the easy ball back instead of turning and looking for the best choice of forward pass. So for much of the time it was pass it back, pass it sideways and then hoof it downfield to no one in particular. All very disheartening.

For me the long ball when we were 2-0 down would've been fruitless. We tried it in the 1st 25mins & it didn't work. Our goal actually came from a good passing move, albeit very late on. For some reason we couldn't pass into midfield with any accuracy to create much at all in the 2nd half. With Luke now gone & Rio injured we lacked quality. With the remaining games that we have it's looking increasingly unlikely that we will avoid the drop but on the positive side, compared to last season, our recent home games have been entertaining & in front of large noisy crowds. Biggleswade had 91 people against Leiston on Tuesday, hardly worth opening the gates. And it finished 0-0.
Pessimists are never disappointed.
