Re: Harrow Boro
Moving away from Harrow but in the same context of memories, our, & certainly my, one & only trip to Chertsey in the league gave me 2 long lasting memories. We were winning comfortably & about half way through the 2nd half when Chertsey had a rare attack their keeper turned around to us ...

Re: Harrow Boro
I think the floodlight that fell down was in the left corner of the car park end as you look from the clubhouse end, I seem to think possibly just before or just after the start of the season but I could be wrong on that one. I remember they had a few home games postponed because of it. Another memo...

Re: Harrow Boro
I agree Darren. It's always sad to see these long established proper non-league grounds disappearing & not just in North London. You can add Tooting & Mitcham Utd, Ilford (although that went donkeys years ago), Barking's original ground (which also went donkeys years ago), Leytonstone, Walth...

Re: Prediction - PETERBOROUGH SPORTS
I have to say I wasn't impressed with either side I'm afraid. Aside from the 2 or 3 chances we had which were blocked by the keeper or defenders & a couple of decent balls into the box which should've had someone getting on the end of them, our passing throughout was, too often, over hit or inac...

Re: Callum Kane
I took Russell's post to mean that it was disappointing to lose one of our best players &, worse still to a local rival, rather than being disappointed with Callum's decision to leave us. It's pretty obvious that Real Bedford are paying higher wages than us, & probably everybody else in the ...

Re: Alternative report v Needham Market
Here's my take on the game. The 2 early goals were conceded as our midfield was almost non existent, especially for the 2nd, compounded by some naieve goalkeeping from a young keeper still learning the game. (Young keepers have the physical agility but it's the decision making that they have to deve...

Darren my memory is fine when it comes to ex players names... providing RST is in earshot to tell me who it is I'm thinking of
. Oh & Andi, you're much calmer these days. Just ask Eden, she'll back you up

I used to be the loud grey haired old behind the goal but I don't have the energy these days

Re: Use it or lose it?
Yes welcome to the forum. I'm the grey haired old git that stands behind the goal. I've been doing that for 63 years!! I take it you're a Chesterfield lass. I've been there once in my biking days, well the Travel Lodge or Premier Inn, can't remember which, on the outskirts as a base for the great bi...

Re: Playing Out From The Back
A great post Stevenage Canary. I agree with all of that, with one caveat, the majority of teams were pretty poor compared to what will face this coming season. Many teams will be physically stronger & more savvy so we need to be a tad more clever & quicker in our thinking on the pitch. The S...
