Re: Top Field Attendances

Especially when as still happens at many Step 3/4 clubs, where cash is accepted at turnstiles, there is no electronic recording of ticket sales for recall. I paid cash at Barton to a bloke standing at the open gate next to the turnstiles, which didn't accept cash, so the 502, or whatever it was, cr...

Re: Barton Rovers 0 HTFC 2

Also thought the scoreboard was brilliant, something for us next year? It's a shame they didn't spend the same amount of money on the pitch which was no better than a park pitch, if that. When you look at our velvety playing surface there's no comparison. A great pitch or a fancy scoreboard? I know...

Re: London Lions

I know we're drifting slightly from the thread but, to me, the difference between Rugby (both codes) & Football is that Rugby is a much more physical sport, almost total contact & because of that players aggression & frustrations are taken out on each other, within the game & mostly ...

Re: London Lions

I wasn't at the game today &, like most who weren't there either, I was somewhat confused. 1st it showed us winning 2-0 on the league table on our website while the Southern League site showed 0-0. Later our website showed 2-2. I'm not on social media but I was able to see most of the messages p...

Re: Hitchin v Leverstock Green(tell me it's worth going)

I also agree with SC's posting. Having watched HTFC for more years than I care to remember &, consequently football at this level, I'm pretty happy with our current position. Unlike the professional game teams can change/upgrade their players throughout the season. MJ has already done so & w...

Re: Vs Leighton Buzzard

I didn't go tonight &, being a pessimist, I always expect the worst so I was relieved to see we came away with a good point to the free scoring table toppers. I've been scouring their league results on the SL website &, as far as I can see, this was the first time they've failed to score thi...

Re: Vs Marlow

As you say, one swallow does not make a summer but one icy day does not make a harsh winter either. MJ is in the process of changing the losing mentality the players had for the past 2 seasons. It seems that some of us supporters maybe finding it hard to shake off that same feeling. We have lost jus...

Re: Club and CC Statement

As I see it it's the club officially announcing what's been circulating as rumours, their desire to redevelop Top Field. To fund this they need to release part of the site to developers, similar to St Neots Town, to give us a stadium, again similar to St Neots, which will require far less maintenanc...

Re: Is there any radio tonight at Tilbury?

To follow up on Darren's request, as far as I'm aware, to access HTFC Radio you have to go to the main menu on the HTFC website then click on club, followed by supporters & finally HTFC Radio which is lengthy enough if you know where to look but it takes longer if not. I would suggest a direct l...

Re: Hitchin College Gigs 1970s

Stewart Copeland & the gorgeous Sonja Kristina, on vocals, were an item at that time, marrying in 1982. She was the architypal rock chick, my type of girl in my late teens, but I had to wait for a couple of years before I found one. After a year or so her mum remarried & they moved to Oxford...
